🚀Architects! Cogram is the AI tool to save you time! ⏱️

Each week I will be sharing with you new tools in the AEC industry. This week we are looking at Cogram!

Cogram is an AI software that automates meeting minutes in online and in-person meetings for the architecture and construction domain.

I have been using Cogram to record notes from my meetings over the past month and wanted to share how I think this can help you save time in meetings. Cogram is an AI-powered note-taking tool designed specifically for Architects. You invite Cogram to your meeting and then it transcribes and summarises your design discussions, client meetings, and site reviews, turning complex conversations into clear, actionable insights. Crucially Cogram understands construction terminology and you can add your own keywords for it to learn – such as BIM, RFI, or ‘enfilade’. No audio recordings are stored, with data hosting tailored to your requirements. Meeting notes are available within minutes after the meeting and sent directly to your inbox, so that you can review, share, and move on.

Key Highlights:

Supports in-person meetings

Cogram’s mobile app summarises the key discussions on in-person meetings — such as on a job-site visit.

Exports notes directly into a project’s minutes template

Customers provide Cogram with their template as an MS Word file and export notes directly into their template document. This means that minutes are automatically customised to your format and specific requirements. Here’s a sample template with Cogram notes.

Can add automatically add site photos to minutes for a visual report

Cogram’s mobile app also allows you to take site photos and annotate them while it’s transcribing your conversation for summarization. Cogram will then add the relevant photos to minutes to create a complete, visual report.

General Overview

Features:

Cogram does more than simply summarise meetings — it produces comprehensive minutes in a firm’s specific template format. (Firms share with them their template and this is customised so the output closely mirrors their specific format).

Cogram works both in virtual (e.g., Zoom, Teams) and in-person meetings, including site visits.

The software is specifically designed for architecture and construction domains and accurately handles even deeply technical jargon.

Besides writing meeting minutes, users can ask Cogram to draft project reports or query specific information – for example, change orders – across a series of past meetings.

Cogram supports multilingual transcription in 16+ languages.

Privacy and Security:

Cogram prioritises privacy and security by design.

It doesn’t store any audio or video recordings of meetings. Meeting transcripts and other data can be set to automatically delete after a timespan controlled by the customer.

Cogram does not use customer data to train AI or machine learning models.

The software is SOC 2 Type II certified and compliant with GDPR and HIPAA.

High-Touch Support:

Every Cogram plan starts with a 7-day free trial with a personalised onboarding experience for the entire team.

Cogram offer regular check-in meetings to tailor Cogram to every customer’s requirements, including setting up your own meeting minutes template for exporting minutes directly into their template document.
