2. ArchiGAN: a Generative Stack for Apartment Building Design
Stanislav Chaillou; Generative Adversarial Neural Networks (or GANs) get leveraged to design floor plans, and entire buildings.
3. Robots and AI assist in building wooden hanging gardens in Switzerland
ETH Zurich are building a planted architectural sculpture for the Tech Cluster Zug. The 22.5-meter-high structure consists of five geometrically complex wooden shells that are slightly offset from each other and supported by eight thin steel pillars.

5. Solar Block Generator
Jonathan Natanian discusses his research;
With my great partners: Prof. Guedi Capeluto, Tenure Track Prof. Thomas Wortmann and Dr. Francesco De Luca we are exploring a parametric takeoff on the solar envelope concept towards a generative solar urban block approach! The Solar Block Generator (SBG) we introduced is a parametric approach which is based on an additive voxelization method, by which multiple solar-driven massing alternatives are generated and evaluated for a given site, corresponding to a set of user-defined environmental KPIs. The SBG method allows the designer to obtain quantitative and spatial performance indications on a range of solutions within any given boundary rather than the representation of the boundary itself (i.e. the solar envelope)…
