#louiskahn #designmusuem exhibition models

A visit to the Design Museum to see the end of the Louis Kahn exhibition was an excellent opportunity to see a range of models created for his projects, from sketch models to finished designs.  The window seat created for the Fisher House was a particular highlight. It was interesting to see the influence Kahn’s collaborators had on his architecture during different periods, particularly structural engineers over time.

An additional exhibition called Disruption is also on and James Christian has some great 3D printed models of housing based on failed London schemes from Victorian and other periods which asks questions of modern housing policy and density.
